The meat chickens are in full swing with 300 chicks in the brooders and 200 already moving across the pasture! We’ll be adding about a hundred chicks a week to the brooders and the pasture for the next several weeks.
We plan to butcher the first batch of chickens for pick-up at the farm in late June. We’ll be sending out details and a link to the chicken scheduler to partners around the first week of June so be looking for that.

How do you get a 120 square foot chicken shelter into a 35 square foot truck bed? Here’s how! Ethan is a pretty good rigger. We had no problems transporting this shelter down the road to the old Martindale farm.

It’s a beautiful view from the top of the hill. The location isn’t as convenient as the flat field below but we felt we needed to get some fertility onto the hillside to prevent further erosion on these pastures that need some TLC.
